Les Miserables

Watching les mis on Christmas Day definitely made me wonder if I were a little grinchy, but I’m not much of a movie crier anyway so I didn’t feel so bad after all.

This movie was really fantastic, with its faults too of course. Hugh Jackman played an amazing man, and I preferred the younger Cosette to Amanda Seyfried. She plays the doll eyed beauty well – really well – but it just didnt do it for me! Eddie and his crew of French revolutionists were fantastically cast – and that song was stuck in my head for days! It didn’t help that our family friend would hum that all day long too.

My favorite duo in the entire movie though were Cosette’s father and stepmom, Helena Bonham carter and sacha baron Cohen. Oh my gosh they played their parts so well that it made me love to hate them! Insane. You could tell how perfectly they worked together and I loved the part was when he couldn’t even get his own daughters name right.
